Spa Design and Build in the West Midlands: Crafting Tomorrow's Wellness in Britain's Heartland
The West Midlands occupies a genuinely strong position in the UK wellness market. Warwickshire and Worcestershire are home to some of the country’s most established country house hotels and leisure resorts, while Birmingham’s city-centre hotel market continues to mature and grow. The region also benefits from strong tourism infrastructure (particularly around Stratford-upon-Avon and the Cotswold fringe) and a professional population with the income and appetite for premium wellness experiences.
Alkaline 360 provides design consultancy and project coordination for spa, gym and wellness facility developments across the West Midlands. We work with hotels, leisure operators and commercial facilities at every stage of the development process, from initial feasibility and concept design through to technical planning, contractor sourcing and coordinating delivery on site.
Working across the region
The West Midlands presents a wide range of project contexts. Country house hotels and rural resorts (particularly through south Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the Shropshire border) typically pursue full spa facilities: thermal suites, treatment rooms, pools, relaxation areas and gym space. The city-centre market in Birmingham and Coventry tends towards more contained but high-specification wellness offerings, often as part of wider hotel refurbishment programmes.
Alkaline 360 is based in Alcester, Warwickshire, meaning the West Midlands is genuinely our home region. We have direct knowledge of the local contractor market, planning environment, and the specific demands of the leisure operators working here.
Areas we cover
We work across the full West Midlands region, including Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Birmingham, Coventry, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Herefordshire.
What working with Alkaline looks like
We act as your design consultancy and project coordinator throughout. Our process begins with feasibility and concept design, moves through technical planning and contractor sourcing, and continues through to handover and opening. At the construction stage, the principal contractor contracts directly with you, our role is to coordinate and advise, ensuring delivery remains consistent with the design intent and your budget.
There is no obligation to our initial consultations. If you have a project in mind, at any stage of development, get in touch to discuss it.
